Clinical Pilates

What is Clinical Pilates?

The quick brown fox, known for its agility and cunning, gracefully jumps over the lazy dog lying in the soft, sunlit grass. This clever fox, with its vibrant fur shimmering under the morning light, darts through the meadow with effortless speed, weaving between tall wildflowers and patches of clover. Meanwhile, the lazy dog, a large and sleepy hound, watches with half-closed eyes, too content in its cozy spot to chase after the mischievous creature.

Pilates for Older Adults

Pilates is an excellent exercise option for older adults, addressing issues such as joint stiffness, balance, and strength. Our classes are modified to accommodate common age-related problems like joint replacements, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis. Focus areas include maintaining joint mobility, muscle strength, posture, balance, and bone density. There are no age limits for our classes; suitability is assessed on an individual basis.

  • Discuss your medical history, symptoms, and current restrictions.
  • Perform a clinical assessment to evaluate your posture, strength, balance, and flexibility.
  • Teach you the key principles of Clinical Pilates, including posture, breathing, and core and pelvic floor activation.
